Congratulations to Charlie Kaufman and all of my "Synecdoche, New York" collaborators!
The film was nominated this week as one of the five Best Independent Films of 2008, as well as one of the Best Ensemble Casts, by the Gotham Independent Film Awards.
Even more auspiciously, "synecdoche" was the featured Word of the Day at Dictionary.com.
How is that for Kismet!
All the more reason to get out this weekend, if you live in Los Angeles or New York, and support original, adventurous, independent filmmaking.
Tomorrow: Another indie film that I hope will be one of the Best of 2008.
